Some off the cuff limericks et. al.

@foldedlight - I am trying to be nice and it may have come out a bit corny...

Ode to Twitter's Dynamic Duo :

These dudes call themselves Folded Light.

Steve and Jaffe are quite the delight.

When they do their thing, the angels do sing.

Cuz their voices shine ever so bright.

There once was a @Hiatustache from LA,
Whose friend called for him to play.
@Gublernation was shaved,
 The stache, he was saved
And so he got 2 live another day.

The Trip Down South

We had the most awesome SUV! It had enough room for all our luggange and laptops and of course, food.

We really had no incident until we ventured onto I95 in New Jersey. There was a J & J Kosher Deli truck, lic. # 63589-PA, running other trucks off the road ahead of us. As our vehicle approached and was prepared to pass, (We could go up to 81 mph on the NJ TPKE.) a phone call went into the company listed on the truck. They said they would look into it. Right! So after two brushes with the truck, we pulled ahead and called 911 who connected us to State Police. They got him at the toll as he turned off.

The longest part of the trip was Rt 29. We arrived at the hotel with no more incident and made really good time! No, nobody was speeding; we just have skills!

If you want to know who drove and who called 5-0, send a comment.

The Invitation

Mrs. Frosini-Montalbano invited me to go to a Best Practices Institute at the University of Virginia. This was all about differentiation in instruction. I was just happy and very flattered that she asked me to join the group.

I went through the motions of applying for food allowances and registration for this conference. Mrs. Frosini-Montalbano sent the link for the book written by Carol Tomlinson and I scanned it.

Let me tell you, I have had a lot of professional development in all my years as a teacher and viewed this conference with a cynic's eye. However, as the date of 3/4/09 drew nearer, I began to get excited and hoped that I would learn something that I could turnkey to staff and bring back to my students.
